ASA Engage Workshops
As part of our partnership with American Student Assistance (The IIC Funders), we have access to a platform called ASA Engage. This platform allows teachers to (among other things):
Tuesday, 8/17 @ 10 AM: Introduction to ASA Engage (Virtual)
This session will highlight the features of ASA Engage. Attendees will leave the session with an ASA Engage account and understand the resources available on the platform. You will also be able to begin scheduling sessions on your own.
Tuesday, 8/24 @ 10 AM: ASA Engage Digging Deeper: Creating a Project:
In this session, ASA Engage will walk you through scheduling a guest speaker or project collaborator. Next, you will learn about the different project options and save and copy a template for your own use. Finally, you will walk out with your first project request on ASA Engage. NOTE: It will be helpful to come with a topic or project in mind to help focus your initial request. If you'd like to discuss options with me in advance, I'd be happy to meet.
If you are interested in attending, e-mail Dave Quinn. [email protected]
- Share pre-recorded interviews and presentations with industry experts connected to your content area.
- Request a guest speaker to talk to your students about a topic in your content area
- Request an industry expert to help plan a project or serve as a panelist to give students feedback on a class project.
