Seesaw: A Digital Portfolio
Description: This workshop will introduce the basic of the app Seesaw and will offer different ways teachers can implement it into their classrooms. There will also be time for teachers to practice using it and set up classes for next year. If time allows, we will also explore "app smashing" into Seesaw.

Saying Hello to HyperDocs
Description: Come learn how to use Google Slides or current PowerPoints to create digital, interactive notebooks that link to Google Classroom and cut down on the need to "collect" assignments in the classroom.

SAMR Slam
Description: SAMR is a useful resource to think about how we improve student learning experiences through teh purposeful integration of technology. SAMR Slam is an opportunity to learn more about the SAMR Model, see concrete examples of what teaching and learning at the various levels and move your current lessons along the SAMR continuum. Participants are asked to bring a current lesson plan, project, or assessment so that the group can provide ideas on how to apply the concept of SAMR to enhance the learning activity. Space is limited to 10 participants.

Description: This session will cover the ins and outs of managing and using your SMART board for teaching and learning. First, participants will be introduced to how SMART Boards work so they can quickly troubleshoot common issues that interrupt lesson flow. Second, teachers will learn practices that can enhance the student learning experience through both interactive and "flipped" approaches to teaching.

Rich and Ready! Problems to Blend the Practices, Standards, and Math Talk!
Description: This highly participatory workshop will provide many and varied opportunities to dig deeper into the practices and see them come alive in rich, exciting. and Common Core aligned tasks. This workshop will allow teachers to wrestle with, discover, and dive into tasks in the content areas of Statistics and Probability, Ratios and Proportional Reasoning, Functions, and Expressions and Equations. A taste of geometry and measurement will also be included. Teachers will engage in problems and tasks that allow the opportunity to see how using effective questioning, setting up a supportive and safe learning environment, and establishing class relationships based on good-discourse can build a robust and positive learning experience for their students.

Simplifying Data Collection with Class Dojo
Description: Looking for a simple tool to help track classroom behaviors, skills, interventions and/or accommodations? Class Dojo is an app that will help you do just that. No matter if you're using this individually or as a team you can track important data and analyze it in a simple graphic interface. This is a great tool for any grade level, but will be particularly useful for K-8 teachers in inclusive classrooms.

Doctopus and Goobric: Tech Tools for Making Your Life a Bit Easier

Description: Tired of keeping track of paper documents or digital assignments? Doctopus and Goobric are Google add-ons that are designed to more effectively assess your students while also saving you a ton of time. Doctopus is a simple add-on in which you can build class rosters, distribute, track and grade assignments in one central location. Goobric is another add-on that works in unison with Doctopus. It allows you to create rubrics that are integrated into assignments in Google Docs, Sheets and Slides.

Notability
Description: Are you ready to give up the old whiteboard and dry-erase marker approach? The Notability app for iPads purchased by the district is a powerful note-taking application to enhance the learning experience of the students in our classrooms. It also can improve teacher and student organization, and ultimately will reduce the number of photocopies you make in a year. If you already have prepared notes for your classes in PowerPoint, or PDF, we will discuss how your previous years' work does not have to go to waste by making this technological change. Please bring your school issued laptop that will allow you to access digital versions of your notes and/or worksheets for your courses that you teach (if you have them), as well as your school issued iPad (and a stylus).

G-Mail Tips and Tricks
Description: Is your Gmail inbox becoming overwhelming? Are you looking for a way to maximize your productivity and reduce your time spent on filtering through e-mails? This workshop will help you take advantage of the many features of Gmail and associated apps to help you manage your e-mails in a fraction of the time it usually takes. Participants will learn how to label and categorize e-mails, apply filters, block/unsubscribe to spam, schedule e-mails, create follow-ups and turn e-mails into to-dos and calendar events. Principles of David Allen's Getting Things Done (GTD) methodology will be shared to maximize e-mail efficiency.

Cleared to Launch: Implementing Project-Based Learning and Design Thinking
Description: Interested in learning about and implementing project-based learning? Want to find a way to link your students' interest with curricular goals? Looking for a way to help students to become more fully engaged? If so, Cleared to "Launch" is the PD for you! Based on A.J. Juliani's & John Spencer's Launch, teachers will be introduced to the principles of design thinking, also known as the "Launch Cycle" and how they can be used in your classroom to do meaningful project-based learning. Over the course of our sessions, teachers will plan a new unit or revise an existing unit to incorporate the Launch Cycle. Peers will provide feedback to improve the unit and Dave will assist teachers to determine when and how technology can be purposefully integrated.
