Overview
On January 15th, we have a scheduled 1/2 day PD day in the afternoon. This year, that 1/2 day is scheduled to be a Teacher-Directed PD Day. We are hoping that the upcoming PD time will provide a concentrated time for you to work collaboratively or individually as needed on your own learning goals. Paraprofessionals are invited to participate in the PD day. You are welcome to work in school or work remotely.
If you have a specific request for a workshop in topics like Nearpod, iReady, etc., we can schedule those internally for you. E-mail Maureen with any requests.
Directions: To coordinate the plans for the PD time, please complete the following steps.
Step 1: Submit your PD Day individual plans using the following PD Individual Plan form. This form will ask you to outline what your individual and/or collaborative plans are for the day. The plans will be automatically approved this year, but we need this plan completed to provide you with corresponding PDPs in Teachpoint. Therefore, each person must fill out their own plan by January 14th.
Step 2: Upon completion of the PD Day, please complete the following brief reflection form and upon completion, PDPs will be uploaded to Teachpoint for the day.
Our goal is to keep this simple for you, under our current context, but also allow for you to receive PDPs for your time. If you are looking for ideas for the PD Day, the PD Committee recommends options such as diving deeper into sessions from the beginning of the year PD, reviewing the Catlin Tucker online course or online modules that were offered. All of the info from the beginning of the year can be found here. You can also review various online offerings and webinars that are available from November 3rd, particularly the session recordings by Angela Stockman.
